New Orleans….. BBQ Festival & Swamp Tours!

Why do people come to New Orleans? Is it the hospitality, the food, the music, the parties, the sports, the amazing attractions, or maybe the people? It’s everything! People come to New Orleans to experience the culture and all of its wondrous facets. This festival combines the best of good food and great music. It starts in the Central Business District with the cooler weather October can bring, with live music, delicious barbecue, and an all-around fun experience for all involved. Like the best festivals around, this one is free of charge and open to the public.

There are two stages, where some of the best blues artists in the nation play. In the past this festival has featured Taj Mahal, Barbara Lynn, Luther Kent, Don Vappie, Walter “Wolfman” Washington, even Anders Osbourne. The entire square will be full of booths offering arts and crafts, and some of the best barbecue in the South. The hours are from 10:30 a.m.-8:15 p.m. Saturday and from 9:30 a.m.-7:00 p.m. Sunday.
