Booked large airboat (15-30ppl) tour in New Orleans, they picked us up right at our hotel. Took a 35-40-minute trip out to the swamps. Our captain was Paul. He was born & raised in the area, hunts gators & gave a great tour. He spotted one very large gator from a good distance & took the airboat over to where it was. We got a real good look at it. He said it was about 14ft, largest he’d seen on a tour. Would recommend this.

What an ADVENTURE! My friend and I had the best of time. Our captain for the day was Rennan. He was knowledgeable, adventurous, and super funny. Our cheeks hurt after the ride from laughing so hard. Highly recommend Airboat Adventures…..you will not be disappointed!

We had a new tour guide named Rennen, it was his 4th day to be exact, but honestly you’d never know it. He was knowledgeable, funny and gave a great tour. We saw more alligators than we could count, an eagle, raccoons and other signs of wildlife and had an opportunity to take some amazing pictures. We were on one of the smaller 6 person boats and wouldn’t have wanted to be on one of the larger ones with so many people. Would do again in a second!

We had an amazing time on this airboat tour! Our guide was Justin, he was super friendly and knowledgeable. Saw literally dozens of gators from the boat, including about 5-6 who swam up close to the boat. The scenery is also gorgeous. Do not miss out on this experience, it is well worth the $ and the drive! One of my favorite things I’ve ever done on any vacation.

Make sure to bring cash to tip your guide, and I’d recommend using the hotel pickup buses. We Ubered there and were informed that it’s really hard to get an Uber back since it is pretty far out there. We ended up taking the bus back!

We booked this tour on the recommendation of our hotel concierge. So glad we did! Our children (12,10,4) had a great time and so did we. Captain Anson was our guide and our youngest really took a liking to him. He was very knowledgeable and engaging. Even letting our youngest sit on his stool next to him for most of the time. Our boat had about 30 people on it and many more empty rows so we were free to move about the boat as we pleased. We saw quite a few gators and everyone got a chance to feed them using a stick if they so chose to. Also saw many birds, turtles and water snakes. Near the end of the tour Captain Anson let anyone who wanted hold a 2 year old little gator that was a rescue. The kids loved it! So glad we didn’t let the negative reviews deter us from booking. As our captain said, gators hibernate in the colder months and that’s why they may not be seen during those tours. Our tour was at the end of March when the gators are just starting to wake up and come out from hibernation.

What an experience! We had a group of 7 and booked a private airboat (worth the extra expense for the private tour), with Steve as our tour guide…what an amazing adventure. The scenery was absolutely beautiful. We saw a lot of gators, turtles and other wild life, and Steve was an AWESOME tour guide. He was funny and joked around with us the whole time.

We took a tour one a boat the held up to 30 people. Its a nice ride through the swamp and when its warm you see a ton of gators. We saw turtles and several different kinds of birds as well. The guide threw marshmallows off the boat and the gators came right next to the boat to eat them. He also had a 6-8″ gator with him he all let us hold and take pictures with. Well worth the money for a 1hr and 45min tour!

Paul was our captain this trip had it all from high speed on the water to slow cruise in swamp. Paul was fearless, knowledgable, and funny. We saw multiple alligators and we were able to get up close and personable.

I am usually not much for guided tours but this was the best part of our visit to the Big Easy! Got picked up in front of our hotel and took about a 35 minute bus ride out to their location. The tour tour was a mixture of a fast airboat ride and a close up view of nature and wildlife in the Louisiana swamp. Our guide Bobby was really cool and very informative about the area and wildlife we saw. I highly recommend this as a must see and do when in New Orleans!

We were in a group of 5 couples visiting New Orleans for a long weekend. The airboat tour through the swamp was such an exciting experience – beautiful, peaceful scenery, incredible wildlife (alligators!) – expertly led by our fabulous guide Steve. Steve was so comfortable with the area, the boat, and the alligators. Well worth the time and money.
