| Are the mosquitoes a problem? |
| No! In fact, we only use insect repellent perhaps once a year. If you get out of the boat and wander around you might find a few mosquitoes, but it seems the whirligigs, dragonflies and other predaceous insects do a great job of keeping the mosquito population down. |
Where are you located? |
| We are approximately 30 miles south of New Orleans. It takes about 45 minutes to get to us in normal traffic. Allow one hour and you'll be sure to be on time! |

fishing at an early age, and each has a deep love and appreciation of
this unique environment. All of them are expert airboat captains Certified
by the U.S. Coast Guard.

| Yes, it is appropriate to tip the guides. If your guide really works hard and you think he gave a great tour, let him know how much you appreciate it! |
What is the best time of day to tour? |
| It all depends on what your goal is. Effective
April 1st. through October 15th., the boats depart at 7:00 AM, 9:45 AM, 12:00 noon,
2:00 PM and 4:00 PM.. If you want to see
the swamp at the prettiest time of day, do the 7:00 AM tour (mid-summer) or the
early evening tour. The early morning and evening light has
warmer tones than midday. Also, you don't have the harsh, full
sun or full shade contrast of midday, so it's much better for photography. Wintertime and early spring can bring temps from 30 degrees (rare) to 75 degrees, with an average high temp of about 64 degrees, so our winter and spring tours can be quite pleasant indeed. If it's sunny and the temperatures reach into the high 60's, alligators will come out on logs to sun. And remember the bumper sticker that says, "The worst day fishing beats the best day at work!"? It should read, "The worst day in the swamp is better than the best day behind a desk!" |

When is the best time of year to tour ? |
| Again, there's no bad time to go. Our favorite times are April, and late October and early November. Winter can be a great time, also, because the grass that in the summer was six feet tall is now inches high. So, you'll see more nutria and more deer, and the migratory birds such as waterfowl and the bald eagles have arrived. Alligators are tough to find when temps drop below 70 degrees, no matter what time of year, but they can be found throughout the winter on warmer days. And, there is so much more to the tour than just seeing alligators, that any time of year is a good time to visit. Just take a look the wintertime comments in our guestbook , and you'll see that all of these folks had a whale of a good time. |

| Yes, we do, right at your hotel door. Pickup times are roughly one hour ahead of tour time. We are flexible to some extent, depending on what's already booked when you call. |
